How Do I Buy a Domain Name?
Q: I would like to buy a domain, but I found that even registered a domain by buying in bulk society (just check negres.com). I tried to contact them, but received no reply. Do you know how many of these companies, on average, for a field? Or is it focused on traffic, and then, and not let go? All the recommended approach to the offer domain? A: This is difficult because the domain name, unless you have a legal claim to them, can be found in a pure market. What I mean is the value of a domain is defined solely by the perceived value to the buyer. If you want to buy one of my areas not used (for example, BABY.NET , which is on sale, for that matter) so I can be $ 20 by him, or I could be that $ 200000, or, who knows, $ 2 miles. What is it worth? Well, it depends. If you are a huge undertaking with a big marketing budget, and is passionate about getting this specific area, then $ 500000 could be a fair market price. But then again, maybe $ 100 more than it would be worthwhile. Economics books about pricing strategies that are a burden on what the market bears, and you can see on the domain name, though, it is almost impossible to know without the buyer in question . There is no third, no standards body, no point of reference for the areas of what it's worth. I bought other areas for $ 200 and $ 8000 I paid for a domain. My most recent acquisition domain BLOGSMART.COM was approximately $ 500. I want to stress that I have never bought an area of scalp (some call the squatters , or squatters domain ) or the domain resale agency, however: My impression is that domain resellers encourage domain owners to set unrealistic prices and keep the party. For the individual owns the field who know nothing better, it looks like a bargain, and if offered at lower prices on the roll, and is easy to forget. So, three, four or five years later, domain owners with dozens or hundreds of areas suddenly realize that they are really not much, after all, because it is clear that the market is not appreciated in the area of how the concessionaire east. But even without that you log on, areas that are usually not worth what one might think they are. If you want to see what I mean, more pop Afternic, one of the largest retailers in this space, and browse 'recently sold and roles lists of areas. Some advice on evaluation, before arriving here, but: . No more value than other top-level domains, dictionary words spoken more than words, more mergers (think car.com against myfavoritecartodrive.com '), and that the domain name with a hyphen is worth less than the have-not. Remember also that if you get a unique name, we need the majority, if you get a name with the script needs unhyphenated too, and so forth. Predictability, bids for the closure of small treasures.com , yourbetterhalf.com , onenet.us and 2EB.com is not very impressive, but there are some who shine as particularly good areas: America. org (sold for $ 20000), maple.net ($ 5000), x360.com ($ 5000), itoldyouso.com ($ 15,000) and SearchMan. com ($ 15,500). Based on this baby.net must be worth at least $ 20000, not faith? I think the best areas change hands in private transactions, and that if you have a third question is undoubtedly complicate the situation. Anyway, back to the specific situation, I would like to address an e-mail to the owner of the field, and if they do not, well, there is enough time to make a few synonymous with creative ideas and reach an entirely different name. If they react, but we can be much more than what they are willing to pay, keep dickering: I was surprised by the speed potential buyers disappear, only when I am negotiating a price. Good luck!
